So Impressive: Patrick Mahomes & Travis Kelce’s 1587 Prime steakhouse looking to make big hire….
The 1587 Prime steakhouse is set to open later this year and the executive chef will have to know how to prepare a world-class steak … and a cheeseburger.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce are collaborating on the steakhouse, which will be located at the Loews Kansas City hotel at 1515 Wyandotte St. Mahomes said last year that there will be a cheeseburger on the menu named for Chiefs coach Andy Reid.
It’s because the Chiefs stars want to make sure the steakhouse is classy but won’t be too expensive for Kansas City diners.
“We actually thought about that and we don’t want to make it too upscale, too high price that not everybody can go, so we’re gonna make it a place where hopefully Kansas City can call it home and that everybody can be there and really enjoy it,” Mahomes said a year ago. There is no opening date for 1587 Prime just yet, but the restaurant is ready to make a big hire.

The modern American steakhouse will be affiliated with the iconic Loews Hotel Kansas City, welcoming guests to indulge in an unparalleled culinary journey spanning nearly 10,000 square feet across two floors. The restaurant will boast multiple private dining rooms, a world-class chef’s kitchen, and a meat display.”
