Pop diva Jennifer Lopez will host the awards ceremony on Monday, May 26 at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas.
In addition, the organization announced that fan voting closed on Thursday, May 15, except for Collaboration of the Year and Social Song of the Year, which will remain open until the first 30 minutes of the AMAs broadcast via VoteAMAs.com and the Instagram profile @AMAs.
As previously announced, the AMAs and Easy Day Foundation, the Las Vegas-based nonprofit organization committed to helping veterans transition to civilian life, will partner to present several special moments within the show that celebrate veterans while raising funds for a variety of national and local organizations.
Jennifer Lopez will return to the American Music Awards as host and performer for this year’s show, which will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ in the United States.
This is the second time JLo has hosted the ceremony, a role she first took on in 2015 when she opened the show with “Waiting for Tonight,” which gave way to a dance medley of 14 of the year’s biggest hits.
Lopez will become the fourth musical artist to host the AMAs solo twice, after Lionel Richie (1984-85), Diana Ross (1986-87) and Pitbull (2013-14).
