Royal Family live Update: Prince Harry is ‘using’ children to ‘punish’ King Charles amid ongoing arguments…
Prince Harry is ‘using his children’ to ‘punish’ King Charles amid ongoing battles.
Harry has been at odds with the Royal Family since walking away from his duties to move to the United States with wife Meghan Markle.
Since then, Harry and his father, King Charles, are said to have had many private ‘battles’ as they try to find a path forward. Amid those battles, Harry is said to be using his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, as part of the arguments.
Royal author and commentator Tom Quinn has told The Mirror: “His [Harry’s] desire to punish his father for not apologizing for the past has become obsessive and it is ironic that he is now using his children in the battle with his father just as King Charles and Diana used William and Harry in their battles.
“Despite Harry’s attacks on the royal family his father has avoided responding by attacking his son publicly, but privately King Charles is furious. So much so that he is now refusing to take calls from his son.
“Charles believes Harry should let bygones be bygones for the sake of Archie and Lilibet, but he senses that access to the children is being used as a bargaining chip and that, in Charles’ view, is unforgivable.”
According to The Mirror, Harry has seen multiple calls screened by the King’s staff, who have told him that his father is “not available”.
Charles is said to be furious with his son for walking away from the Royal Family, but they did speak after the King’s cancer diagnosis was announced.
